Joint ERSA/AELP criminal justice forum launched

ERSA and AELP this week held the inaugural meeting of a joint forum for employment services and skills providers delivering services in the criminal justice space. Issues discussed included the OLASS 4 procurement exercise and the day 1 provision for ex-offenders going onto the Work Programme.

It was agreed to constitute the group as a joint ERSA / AELP forum to meet once every quarter. The objectives of the forum are threefold:

1. To provide an opportunity for providers to feedback to ERSA and AELP who can lobby on behalf of members;
2. Provide a forum where members can network and help one another; and
3. Invite external speakers to disseminate information to the sector.
