ERSA is delighted to announce a one day conference, sponsored by mental health charity, Better Pathways, on mental health and employment support.
** DON'T MISS ** Earlybird rates available from £150 plus VAT until 5 June
With the national landscape for employment support services changing and a far greater emphasis on helping those with health and disabilities into work, this event will help charities, health bodies, local authorities, housing associations and other employment support providers understand the challenges and opportunities ahead.
Organised in partnership with the Institute of Employability Professionals, the event will offer an excellent opportunity to engage and network with senior professionals from across the private, public and voluntary sectors and to learn from others about new approaches and what already works.
A note from our headline sponsor - Better Pathways (formerly BITA Pathways)
Better Pathways is an organisation with a proud history. Deeply rooted in the local community, we are passionate about mental health; a charity with a heart and a soul. Established as BITA Pathways in the 1960’s, we set out to engage adults experiencing mental health problems on a pathway towards recovery. Much has changed since those days, not least society’s understanding of and attitude towards mental health. However our mission remains the same. Using a person-centred approach, we provide education, volunteering and work experience placements to people across the whole spectrum of mental illness. Opportunities are created not only through our community partners, but through an innovative use of our diverse social enterprises. They encompass a community garden centre, production assembly service and a textiles centre of excellence that has produced goods for Selfridges and Liberty London. We give people very real opportunities to express themselves creatively, to contribute to their local community and to discover a pathway not only to recovery, but paid employment.
With better facilities, better training and better knowledge of the causes, effects and recovery associated with mental health problems, we have supported more people into work year on year since 2012. BITA just got Better.
