ERSA Publishes Response to DWP Green Paper 'In Work, Better Off'
ERSA has formally responded to the Government's consultation on the DWP Green Paper, 'In Work, Better Off: next steps to full employment'.
ERSA welcomes the stated contracting principles, the introduction of a Flexible New Deal and the focus on involving employers through Local Employment Partnerships.
We are concerned about the lack of commitment to measuring extended sustained outcomes, the need for joined up government, particularly to link up the employment and skills agenda, and that there is no mention of the 'invest to save' principle necessary to achieve the level of investment required to reach out to the hardest to help customers.
