ERSA member Papworth Trust creates bigger voice for service users
Disabled people will be given a bigger voice at ERSA member, the Papworth Trust , with the appointment of Julia Clough as the new Head of Empowerment.
Julia will be responsible for giving the Trust’s 10,000 service users more of a say across the organisation - ensuring that they are central to the work of the Trust.
Julia has worked at the Papworth Trust since 2000 and has been instrumental in helping to shape how the Trust listens to and involves service users in the work that it does. This can take many forms including service users being part of the interview process for roles at the Trust and the re-launch of the User Council due later this year.
Adrian Bagg, Chief Executive at the Papworth Trust said: “Julia brings a wealth of experience to this role and as an organisation we’re clearly committed to providing services which enable disabled people to maximise their independence and to address the barriers they continue to face in society.”
